Before You Create your first Configurator
š¤ An EXA3D configurator is based on the networking between assets, that are used in the configurator, and the dependencies, that define the logic behind the configurator. The assets are called elements in EXA3D, the dependencies are nodes that can be connected in the editor.
So before you start creating your configurator it is wise to add some elements first.
Add your first elementā
If not already done, choose a default Language to enable adding elements. To create your first element switch to the Elements Page in the left navigation bar.
Add Elementā
Click on Add Element to create your first element. Click on your newly created element. Upload your 3D Model by dragging it on File Upload. When done upload your thumbnail. Edit the title to your needs. You can provide further details through custom fields here if you want. Click on close to finish editing your element.
Provide Tagsā
In the compatibility column add a tag by clicking on the +-button. Enter the name of your e.g. product series. Hit enter and type another tag describing the type of element. Hit enter again and click outside the tag to finish editing. On the firstly entered tag activate the star by clicking on it, to define it as a global tag.
š¤ This is the basic element setup we need to display them in our widget. -> Link to widget here.
